With a heart rooted in digital marketing and communications from a tender age, and an academic pinnacle in the form of an MBA, my truest passion lies in the realm of automobiles. It’s this passion that has propelled me to craft and curate content that resonates with car enthusiasts, sharing the intricate dance of vintage beauty and storytelling on Instagram and TikTok.
Rétromobile in Paris, a mecca for vintage car enthusiasts and one of the world’s premier classic automobile shows, presented a unique opportunity for collaboration. Honored to be selected as one of three influencers to serve as an ambassador, I was charged with the mission of creating content that would give my audience a front-row view of the cars set to ignite the passions of the global vintage car community.
My strategy was to craft immersive content that would transport viewers directly onto the event floor, wandering the stands and experiencing the grandeur of the vintage vehicles on display. Through my lens, followers were treated to an authentic prelude to the event, engaging with the majesty of classic automobiles before the public doors swung open.
Rétromobile is more than an event; it’s an annual pilgrimage for the devotees of classic automobiles. My role as an ambassador was to encapsulate and highlight the essence of this storied event—the heritage, the craftsmanship, and the timeless allure of the vintage models that command the floor.
In curating content, I showcased a tapestry of automotive history, selecting vehicles that not only stood out for their beauty and historical value but also for their ability to tell the rich stories of automotive yesteryears. Each stand and each car were chosen to reflect the diversity and depth of the vintage car world.
The visual style of the content mirrored the elegance and prestige of the Rétromobile event itself. Engaging thumbnails and rich, detailed graphics invited the audience into a visual journey through the annals of automotive history, with a presentation that captured the spirit of the vintage era.
By incorporating elements like polls on favorite car eras or quizzes about car history, the content not only enhanced engagement but also deepened the audience’s connection with the event and its featured brands, turning passive viewership into an interactive experience.
The collaboration with an influencer at an event like Rétromobile serves a dual purpose: to harness the authentic storytelling power of an influencer to amplify the event’s reach and to provide the audience with a personal, behind-the-scenes look at the world of vintage automobiles.
